Membership

We welcome Certified and Associate members to the Chapter.  The Chapter's annual dues are $150. Your dues cover the four quarterly luncheon training meetings. a four hour ethics seminar and the annual one-day seminar (20 CPEs).  (Meal is included)  A great value!.  For membership and membership benefit questions please call  or email Sherwin Gutierrez, Membership Director, at 676-1509.

 

The annual dues are to be paid by September 1. We will, however, accept members after that date.  Please remit your dues to Ken Diaz, Clark County Internal Audit  PO Box 551120, Las Vegas, Nevada 89155-1120.

 

 

 

 

Officers

The Chapter elects new officers in September for the upcoming year of October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009.  Nominations are solicited during the year.  If you would like to serve as an officer or on the board of directors or need to contact an officer, see the telephone section of this newsletter for names, offices and numbers.

 

Chapter office of president and vice-president  must be a CFE.   All other offices do not require certification. Elections are held in September with the officers assuming their positions on October 1.   Officers may hold the same position for a maximum of two consecutive years.

Sponsorships

The Chapter is seeking sponsors of varying levels to help us continue to offer outstanding CEU-qualified programs and new Chapter activities.   Some of those new activities are college scholarships, scholarships for members  seeking CFE certification, membership social functions, membership prizes, and maintaining our website.  Sponsors will receive recognition by various methods as well as being listed on our website sponsor page.

CHAPTER POLICIES

 

 

 

 

Meeting Dates and Times

Luncheon Meetings are normally held quarterly, on the second Wednesday of the month. The meetings will normally start at 11:30 a.m. at the Main Street Station Social Club, with the speaker to start at noon. The quarterly meetings are worth 2 hours of CPE.

 

 

 

 

Dues

Dues  are $150 and due September 1. The annual dues cover the four quarterly luncheons with speakers, a four hour ethics seminar  and the annual 8-hour seminar, for a total of 20 hours of CPE each year. (Meal is included) A great value!   Speakers at the luncheon meetings and the seminars will have their membership dues waived for that year. Guests

Any members may bring a guest to any luncheon and that guest’s first meeting is free. If guests choose to attend additional luncheons, the cost is $25 per luncheon.

RSVP

Sherwin Gutierrez  (676-1509) is the contact to RSVP for the luncheon meetings and the seminar.  RSVPs are also important for the sign-in sheet and to provide an accurate count of the lunches to be served and paid for.
